I a novice player who practices regulary with the Hohner Blues Harp and Hohner Marine Band Harp both in the key of "C". Both are top-quality instruments. It is difficult to compare them to the Suzuki Promaster but if you play tennis, I'd say the SuzukiPromaster is to Graphite racquets what the Marine Band and Blues Harp is to wood racquets. They have significant advantages and serious drawbacks that make choosing one over the other a matter of personal taste and what you want your music to sound like. Maybe it is the heavier, more solid feel of the Promaster and unbelievable control I have over the individual holes that make me feel that I sound better on it than I know I really am. I think I sound better, in the sense of hitting super clean notes and chords on the Promaster. Bending is a pleasure. In fact, everything from the heavy duty protective case to the finger groove in the coverplate and the comfortable lip guidelines embedded in the comb is designed for comfort and pleasure.

Based on the quality of the Promaster I am now looking at the Fire Breather, though it is hard to imagine how Suzuki could improve upon what they have here in the Hammond.
