I've had my Uke now for about 4 weeks and I just love it. I've never been good on regular guitar, but this is a dream come true. The finish and the hardware are outstanding.

For the fella wanting to go to the koa Concert, I bought one it came with Vinci strings, not only pretty but plays and sounds great, this thing too is a great instrument, I recommened this brand, in any size, they also have a lifetime warrentee so if you get a bad one, one of the few that may come off the lien bad, send it back you'll be happy in the long run. I love all of my ukes and have switched from a Samick Concert to the Oscar Schmidt, I only switched to go Koa, I bought the baritone to get another spruce top, the newest 2008 OU53S Deluxe has a solid spruce top and sounds so good it's like it's singing to or with ya... I highly recommend... not to mention by buying here you have double protection, they'll make sure you are happy.

received my oscar schmidt baritone uke last week and its a real beauty. however after one day of strumming, i noticed the binding on one of the strings started to unravel from contact with the fret. the second day the string broke making it necessary to purchase a new set of martin strings..

Washburn Disappointment

I recently purchased a Washburn baritone uke to upgrade from a Rogue baritone. The inlay work is very nice. In fact,it is a very good looking instrument. The first indication of a problem was the instrument was not strung in baritone sequence. The second problem was a distinct buzz when the third and fourth strings were depressed in the first and second frets. Frankly, the rogue plays better and came strung properly. Incidently, the other Washburn uke I have had a half glued bridge on it that came off when the strings were tuned. I intend to stay away from Washburn in the future.

Great little uke, lots of rich tone. Very easy transition for guitar players. it's got a really unique tone that works great with traditional hawian songs, folk, bluegrass, and with the suprising bottom of the baritone size even works great playing the blues.
