Nice sounding uke!

I bought this as a beater uke, to take camping, etc. but this is a very nice sounding instrument. Don't let the "nato" wood turn you off. Nato is actually a pretty decent tone wood, at least on this uke anyway. Its got a very nice, mellow, punchy sound that still has some good volume to it. Plus the intonation is good and the strings are Aquila, which are some of the best uke strings available IMO. The only thing I had to do was lower the action a little on mine by sanding the saddle some. But other than that, it plays great. In fact, I like it better then my more expensive cedar top uke! I'm a happy camper! :-)

i bought this ukulele in early july. i was skeptical about it, being that it was only 100 buck. but i did my homework and research, and ended up buying this one. all i can say is. wow.. this ukulele is amazing. it has a surprisingly large amount of sound to it. the tone is phenomenal! i was totally surprised. im a lefty, so instead of reversing the strings, i just play it backwards. its a little bit difficult at times, but i like it. the only problem i have found with the uke is the quallity of how it was made. some of the sanding on the bridge was a little bit cheap, and a few other very minor details. but the good in this uke WAY out does the bad. if your looking to buy your first ukulele, or if you wanting a new instrument in your arsenal of awesome, then look no further than the Lu-21t.

Nice Entry Level Uke But Might Need Proper Setup

True to their ad, MF price matched a competitor and gave me an excellent price on this LU-21T.

The uke itself arrived packed very nicely in a box within a box. To my surprise, it came with Aquilas, not GHS strings. I was so happy, I quickly grabber my tuner and tried to play a few tunes.

To my dismay, the action on this uke was ridiculously high. I'm no expert, but the nut doesn't allow me to get the strings on the first fret w/o a hard amount a pressure and even then there's some buzz. On the other end, I think the bridge is too high as well.

So the great price I got actually ended up being more because I had to take it into a shop to get it properly set up. The filed down the nut and bridge and now it plays great.

It was frustrating though because a new instrument should be able to be played when bought new.

I just received my LU-21T and I could'nt be happier. For starters, the sound quality Is wonderful and the only reason I gave It a 4.5 on quality, had to do with some finish issues but other then that everything is great. I strongly recommend this to anyone who even thinks they might want to play a Ukulele.

I play the piano, drums and guitar. But now I'm learning the Ukulele. For weeks I use a friend Ukulele (Oscar Schmidt) and this Lanikai LU-21T is awesome. The sound is clear, loud, but at the same time smooth.

I recommend this Ukukele!
