I have been playing the harmonica since I was 6 years old (47 years ago!)by my father as my teacher! I have been on Echos, Marine Bands, Chromatics of all types, Specials, etc. Never had a played a COMET until a few months ago. I was intrigued by its ability to play octaves! I absolutely love it! One of my favorites out of maybe 25 different harmonicas. The tone is good, and it is easy to play....HOWEVER! be prepared to be a little winded if you are playing both sets of reeds until you really get it down. It does take extra breath control, such as with echos or larger harmonicas...I love the OPTION it gives...you can play the upper reeds only, or the lower reeds only, or both, which would then be you playing the octaves together. AWESOME! A MUST to buy for serious harmonica players, to add to your collection. A lot of fun to play, a new sound, and so well worth the extra money.

This is a fantastic octave harmonica - very clear sound, and effortless to play - it takes very little wind to get this harp going, and you can play very expressively on it. It has a plastic comb, which I am now beginning to prefer after many years of playing wood combs. The covers are very lightweight, and at first I was rather suspicious and uncomfortable over this harp's extreme light weight. But I am completely sold on this harmonica now. I own the G, and it's sound is beautiful.
