great dobro for the money!

I have owned my hound dog for three weeks. It has good volume and that sweet spider resonator dobro sound. I own the square neck model, the construction is solid and it stays in tune. One thing though, get some Martin resonator strings, sit back and play!

If you think this is a real Dobro you'll be disappointed. It is in fact a cheap import with the Dobro decal on the headstock. While I found the sound quality to be above average for an instrument in this price range, the lack of attention to detail that seems to typify instruments from China is readily apparent. The one I got has a serious buzz at the high B string and the cover plate is on crooked. There is no pickup , and also no gig bag. Overall a very disapointing purchase. I'm sending mine back.
